Beyond The Brambles is the second beautifully presented book from Joe Moorwood and Anna Stephenson. The story, and accompanying imagery, celebrate the magic of nature, as experienced by a young sister and brother on a summer’s day adventure. In this heart-warming tale of independence, the two siblings venture beyond the brambles to face whatever their imaginations can muster. But will they heed their parent’s warnings and avoid the infamous Bramble Beast? The story’s themes are multilayered, insightful and positive, offering both inspiration and nostalgia (with a twist).
Author Biography
Joe Moorwood, a Sheffield-based Firefighter, author and father of two, had his first book published with the support of Blackadder and QI producer John Lloyd, CBE. His first two books for Great Northern, The Yorkshire Meaning of Liff and Yorkshire Wisdom have sold over 10,000 copies. Then last year, with the help of Anna, his sister, he realised his ambition to create a timeless children’s picture book for all generations. The Outside Is Inside was highly commended by Roger McGough CBE (The Caterpillar Poetry Prize) and described as “an absolutely ageless piece of work” by John Lloyd CBE. Now, Joe’s highly anticipated followup, Beyond The Brambles, offers a pleasingly natural progression from his debut, and is sure to entertain young and old readers alike
