In 2013 was launched the movie Elysium with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster: “In 2154, the Earth is overpopulated and polluted. Most of Earth’s citizens live in poverty, on the brink of starvation, and with little technology and health care. The rich and powerful live in Elysium, a gigantic space habitat in Earth’s orbit. Elysium is technologically advanced, with devices like Med-Bays that can cure all diseases, reverse the aging process, and regenerate parts of the body. There is a long-running dispute between Elysium and Earth, whose residents want Elysium’s technology to cure their diseases”.

In ASYLUM SEEKERS, Elysium is not a spaceship orbiting our planet, Elysium happens to be the countries over the Equator Line, or North Hemisphere, which oligarchs and circles of power for centuries had held the south side of the planet in misery, exploiting it minerals and treating the population worse than animals.

This book was published in 2018, but the influx of humans migrating north keeps exponentially growing, not in seek of the “Med-Bays” of Elysium, that can cure all diseases, reverse the aging process, and regenerate parts of the body but to save their lives, fleeing dictatorships (supported by the aforementioned oligarchs and circles of power), organized crime, wars (manufactured and pushed from the north), famine and misery. The author himself is a victim of this humanitarian crisis, worldwide size, and in this book offers research of how this continuing migration south-north is approached by the “1st world nations” immigrations bureaucracies and continues in a second edition titled: REMAIN SILENT, the only right we have.
