"From looking at the pictures its a bit hard to tell how it works exactly, but once you get it all setup it all makes sense. You can choose to just use the standard handles with a rope connected to each pully which is nice as you can alternate or just use it to lift weight by standing. The other way is to connect it to each bar that pivots from the floor acting like an oar which is really fun as you have back and forth and side to side movement at the same time. My favourite way to use it is to grab one oar with both hands and pretend I'm rowing on a medieval Japanese war boat while my girlfriend hits the Japanese war drum and chants for me to row faster. I almost feel like I'm there being worked hard by my ship captain 5 stars! But seriously its a great machine once you use it for a little while you will realise you can target a lot more of your muscles than a standard rowing machine."
