Author Biography
Loraine Gilchrist was brought up in a small town in Gauteng, South Africa. Loraine, her husband Arnold and two children, Gary, and Martine, later moved to Durban, a beautiful coastal town in Natal, South Africa which is where she began to write poetry for adults as well as for children. Another book of poetry “Those Precious Moments” written by Loraine was published in 2004. Loraine’s husband passed away in 2012, which is when she emigrated to Sydney, Australia. Her son Gary, his fiancée, Stephanie, and his daughter Caitlin, (Loraine’s granddaughter) live in Florida, USA. Loraine’s daughter, Martine, son-in-law, Anthony and two granddaughters, Gia and Mila, live in Sydney, Australia.
