Stephanie practices law, writes, and occasionally plays the flute in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she lives with her husband, Ted, and a poodle named Gypsy. Stephanie’s major accomplishment is rearing two young women who don’t let others tell them what they can’t do. Many people told Stephanie when she decided to go to law school in the 1970s that she couldn’t do it, because she was a woman and because she was shy.
