These personal recoveries have occurred totally, wholly and solely as the result of a personal commitment to and application of the 12 steps of recovery as detailed in the first 164 pages of the “Big Book” of Alcoholics Anonymous. We share or journey of uncovering, discovering, discarding and eventual recovery with anyone interested in the hopes that it might make someone else’s journey into freedom a little easier. The 12 steps is not only a proven roadmap to recovery for all addictions including alcoholism, but is also proving to be equally effective in addressing the needs of those suffering many forms of clinical depression and/ or anxiety regardless of causes or circumstances. The purpose of this guide is to help you identify clearly and unequivocally what your real problem truly is. (You may be pleasantly surprised with what you come to learn.); and then to ask your yourself at least some of the essential questions necessary in order for you to work your way effectively this process that otherwise can appear to be over whelming and impossible. There are as many accounts of recovery as there are recovered addicts and alcoholics. In our case, we neither claim to have discovered anything new ourselves nor have we figured out anything on our own. We tell you only what we have seen, heard and learned from others we have met through the course of our journey. In simplest terms we offer you this priceless message of hope and guidance because our own continuing recovery demands that we share this “Good News” with anyone interested. We can only keep it if we give it away.
