What Color is the Sky is the true story about how professional baseball player Josh Bell learned to stay strong on his journey to the MLB with help from his dad.

Growing up in a tough neighborhood, Ernest Bell had to work hard and keep his head up to succeed in sports, school, and life. He passed down the important lessons he learned along the way to his son Josh, who relied on his father’s wisdom to make it through his own trials. Now whenever Josh is feeling overwhelmed or struggling with a challenge he simply asks himself “What color is the sky?”

Josh passes through different stages of life to become a professional baseball player, achieving his childhood dream. Now, he shares his father’s wisdom with his own kids, so they too will look up, see that the sky is still there unchanged, and know that everything will be OK.

Josh Bell is a professional baseball player, father of three, and community advocate. His MLB career spans 10 seasons. This is Josh’s first children’s book.
