Jayne Haddix didn’t have the best ending to her school year. The future she imagined with her boyfriend is destroyed and she finds herself sitting in her room wondering if love is even possible.

So when Jayne is told she’ll be spending her summer at Rider’s Coast, her uncle’s amusement park, she’s not thrilled. Especially when she discovers the amount of energy everyone has when she arrives. Things only get messier when she meets Corin Simmons, her cousin’s blue-eyed and free spirited best friend. He is determined to enjoy his time at the amusement park, but Jayne’s grumpy attitude clashes with that goal. They both decide spending as little time with one another is the best course of action.

That is, until they are sent into the park and onto the rides. Jayne must find a way to get along with her energetic relatives and Corin or consider her summer ruined. Can she find both herself and the real meaning of love, or will her summer continue on being just as painful as it began?
