On a secluded jungle island in the East Indies festers a horrifying secret. The first published version of this story appeared in the February 20, 1937 issue of Argosy Weekly under the title “The Resurrection of Jimber-Jaw” and was heavily rewritten by the magazine editor. The version of the tale included in this new edition of The Monster Men is taken from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ original manuscript, and has seen only a single publication in a rare, out-of-print hardcover collection.
