Sight

Emerging author Alexandria Clarimond, in her late seventies, chronologically presents her inspired work of interweaving truth and fiction for readers’ reception and reflection. Through the decades of fading physical sight, she was gifted opportunities to appreciate sight without eyes. The author’s name and many of the story’s characters reflect the central theme of sight, light, and uplifting of the human spirit.

Protagonist Ellie, whose name means “light,” now in her early eighties, reflects on her life in the past decades while awaiting the results of a procedure resulting in potentially life-altering sight renewal after many years of declining vision and ultimate sight loss. She remembers events and relationships vital to the formation of her personal and spiritual development. Lying on the surgical table, she closes her eyes, perhaps for the last time on this planet.

Alexandria entrusted the original manuscript to her friend, Joan, for preliminary editing. Joan’s comments on the book’s back cover accurately portray the author’s intent.
