Author Biography

Dale Baker is an accomplished picture book author, illustrator, artist, and teacher based on the Vic Surf Coast of Australia. His work is known for its vibrant illustrations, imaginative narratives, and playful approach to engaging children. Dale creates fun, engaging books designed to inspire a love of reading and encourage a positive mindset.

Some of his most impactful titles include Arty Farty Marty, The Paint Smashin’ Kraken, shortlisted for the 2018 YABBA Awards, Koala Awards, and Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Award, Flip (2019), How to Be Clever Forever (2019), and Dream a Dream (2021). Two of these books have been featured on Storytime with Fergie and Friends, hosted by Sarah, Duchess of York.

His upcoming titles include I Love to Draw, which celebrates creativity and self-expression through art, and Calm Your Farm, a lively and meaningful story featuring fun illustrations and thoughtful messages designed to engage children.
