Helicopter engineer Fred Arfikada accepts the offer of a fellow student who lives in one of the young republics. He is engaged in the repair of helicopters. A military uprising is taking place in the republic. Fred manages to escape in the helicopter of the general leading the rebellion. He lands in an empty forest. He is fighting to live and return to his homeland. While he was sick, he traveled to hell and heaven together with his deceased wife in his sleep. The military uprising is suppressed. Fred’s work in suppressing the rebellion is appreciated. The government starts looking for Fred. English-born Umma, who lives in one of the tribes in Africa, goes to look for Fred along with the black-skinned tribal girls. The work written in lyrical, fantastic, philosophical adventure style ends with a happy ending. Fred and Umma are taken to the president’s residence on “Fred Douglas Avenue”.
