Author Biography
Amy Shield, Esq., is an experienced Florida attorney since 1976, whose practice encompasses all facets of family law appeals including alimony, child support, custody (time-sharing), division of property (equitable distribution), prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, relocation, supportive relationships, and contempt orders. She has also been appointed as guardian ad litem and attorney ad litem by the court in contested time-sharing cases. Amy has handled hundreds of appeals throughout Florida, and first argued before Florida’s highest court, the Supreme Court of Florida, at 28 years old. She has received an AV Preeminent® rating-the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell for legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards, which is awarded to approximately 10 percent of all United States attorneys. She was also recognized as a top appellate lawyer in 2025 by Palm Beach Illustrated. Roger Levine, Esq., a Florida appellate attorney, also has an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell for achieving the highest level of professional excellence in legal knowledge, communications skills, and ethical standards. Besides representing clients throughout Florida in appeals involving all facets of family law, divorce lawyers rely on his expertise as their “lawyer’s lawyer,” and he advises them about the law on legal issues that arise in their practice, drafts memorandums of law they will give to the judges, and when requested, attends hearings with trial counsel to advise on the spot about intricate areas of law and make sure all important points are covered at the hearing. Roger has also given back to the community, having served as a guardian ad litem to dependent children in Palm Beach County for approximately ten years. Roger has similarly been recognized as a top appellate lawyer for 2025 by Palm Beach Illustrated.
