Author Biography
Stanisław Kowalkowski is professor at War Studies University, Warsaw, Poland. He is the author and co-author of 230 different scientific studies, including ‘Determinants and possibilities of counteracting the use of improvised explosive devices’; and has participated in 12 development projects, including project dedicated to ‘Improving the Safety and Protection of Soldiers on Missions Through Research and Development in Military Medical and Technical Areas’.
Marek Wrzosek is professor at War Studies University, Warsaw, Poland. His military, research and teaching career develops in the scope of military reconnaissance systems, information systems and particularly military and non-military threats assessment. He published numerous theoretical and practical works, participated in the international research projects. His most important works include

Danuta Kaźmierczak is associate professor at University of The National Education Commission, Krakow, Poland. Her scope of research includes security studies including human security, education management, disaster risk management. She participated in international projects on security and safety, and disaster risk management.
