Donna Rose Torf, a Chicago native, developed a love for language early on, leading her to an M.A. in Communication Disorders from Northwestern University. Throughout her 40-year career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Donna served countless individuals of all ages who were challenged by communication difficulties. Now retired and a doting grandmother, she applies the art and the science from her professional experience to construct inventive stories with elements important for language and literacy development: bare-bones sentences paired with robust vocabulary. Cat Night showcases Donna’s ability to creatively tell a charming story that is both pleasurable and linguistically enriching for young listeners and readers of all ages.
