Bright Darkness

Bright Darkness takes the reader through a courageous journey as written and narrated in the late 1950s by Eleanore Kerns. After assuming for decades her mother’s manuscript had disappeared, June Kerns Golin discovered it and began the process of bringing her mother’s words to life in the form of a book that could serve as an inspiration to others. First experiencing symptoms of eyesight loss and paralysis without any guidance on what could be wrong, Eleanore shares her many fears, frustrations, and challenges in a time when the medical community knew only a fraction of what we know today about multiple sclerosis (MS). She also captures her notable strength and determination that turned her into a source of inspiration not only for those in the MS community but for so many people facing their own seemingly insurmountable challenges.
