"I've been able to watch some videos and cds made from old TV standard that were unwatchable on my Full HD TV. Sports programs show the picture without frequently breaking up, and my favorite TV station channel 83 looks good. There are plenty of connections, component video, VGA for computer, so its got possibilities for use for viewing old media I have saved but never got around to watching. Or connecting it to old devices. The CD player seems to be all regions, but it doesn't play Panasonic DVD RAM format, and it also has limited codecs, it won't play .flv files. I bought the google TV dongle . There is another model D97S which has the google TV bluetooth and more codecs."
"The tv has a great picture and being able to watch DVDs is an added bonus. It’s the perfect size to sit on our breakfast bar. I also have the same one in my bedroom!"
"I like how the TV input stays at the last input (eg HDMI) when the TV is switched on again. The volume is a bit annoying tho, I'm constantly having to increase or decrease the volume depending on what I've recorded or if Im watching 'live' via the HDD recorder. I realise the recording volume probably depends on which channel although I've not had the same extensive issue with previous TV's set to HDMI and watching 'live' TV. (and all the 'live' channels are the same). So far it is recording well and playing DVD's well so that's a good thing."
