Birding at the shore, spotting at the range, even planet-gazing—the powerful 25-60×82 VEO HD IV Spotting Scope from Vanguard is a versatile optic with premium glass for a bright, clear view. Employing Hoya extra-low dispersion glass with seven layers of antireflective coating, this scope provides a sharp image even at peak magnification. And while it is ideal for terrestrial use, its combination of magnification and objective lens diameter makes this spotter ideal for beginner astronomers, delivering views of the moon and larger planets, with the ability to survey the night sky for comets or to view constellations. The chassis is made of lightweight, corrosion-and expansion-resistant composite carbon fiber. The chassis is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging even in extreme weather and temperature conditions. The angled-viewing configuration sets the eyepiece at a 45° angle to the scope’s body, and its built-in Arca-type mount base makes attaching to a tripod easy as pie.
