Due to the unique speedometer drive arrangement found in those transmissions, connecting an aftermarket speedometer was difficult. This adapter takes that special arrangement and converts it to the more common 7/8”-18 speedometer cable output to connect a mechanical cable or electronic sensor. The high quality adapter is machined from steel and re-uses the original Ford-O-Matic drive gear for a simple installation.
