Description

The ancient Japanese tradition of Zen is a way of seeing the world through fresh eyes in any given moment. Sometimes to do this we need to turn events on their head ...and peer at them from between our legs. Zenisms is a contemporary look at Zen, with a gentle humour which focuses on the joy of paradox. This beautifully designed and illustrated gift book has riddles, stories and illustrations that are lessons in Zen for those who haven't any idea what Zen is. Every page carries a simple message to delight your mind and provoke new ways of looking at ordinary situations. David Bell draws on amusing stories of the old Zen masters, retelling these with light-hearted clarity, so that laughter accompanies insight. Zenisms looks to the essence of Zen's ancient wisdom with an original and contemporary twist. Warning: this product has not been tested on dogmas.
