This is the second book in the Matthew McFarland series and Matthew is back! This time, he wants a dog, but unfortunately, his father doesn't agree. He explains that a dog will be too much work and suggests a fish. Determined to prove his father wrong, Matthew offers to dog-sit his neighbor's puppy. Will a week spent with Puddles be everything Matthew wished? Told in humorous rhymes, this story is a must for every kid who loves a pet and every kid who would love to have a pet. Like all Franklin Mason Press titles, a portion of each sale benefits our charity partner, The Four Foundation. In addition, two pages are saved to publish the work of 6-9 year olds through our Guest Young Authors and Illustrators Contest. This contest has become immensely popular with schools, teachers, and parents and a large part of our marketing program. Other marketing aspects for this title are "Easter", "Spring", and "Teamwork".
