In order to experience the view from atop the mountain of blessings God gives us, we need to appreciate the low points (valleys). A mountain climber doesn't start his/her ascent up the mountain just three feet from the top...they start in the valley at the base of the mountain. The same holds true in our relationship with God. As we ascend toward the ultimate mountaintop called Heaven, will we come across obstacles on our journey? Absolutely. Will we experience falls that result in injury? No doubt. However, the scars we obtain along the way are nothing more than reminders of the healing that took place along the journey. So what does this book challenge you to do? To slap a band-aid on that hurt you're dealing with, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and keep climbing!
