Author Biography

Kaye Umansky was a primary school teacher for twelve years, specialising in music and drama. She gave up teaching to concentrate on writing full-time. She lives in North London with her husband, daughter and two cats. Margaret Chamberlain has now published numerous picture books apart from the Jim stories, including The Tale of Mucky Mabel, The Tale of Fearsome Fritz, Dog Dottington and The Little Book of Cats and The Little Book of Dogs. She lives in Bath with her illustrator husband. Kaye Umansky has sung with a band, been a teacher and now writes full time. Kaye is well known as the creator of the Pongwiffy stories and has written many other humorous stories for children. Children will now love to be introduced to Wilma, a young Wicked Queen with a mind of her own.
