Converted from the popular arcade game, X-Men Vs Street fighter pits Marvel's great comic creations against Capcom's homegrown World Warriors. 17 characters from the Marvel and Capcom series are ready to battle it out against some of the most exquisite backdrops seen in a fighting game, and each brings with them a host of fantastic special moves and combo attacks. Each of the 17 characters is equipped with a number of easily effected special moves, counter attacks and blocks, all of which blend seamlessly to create the new state-of-the-art in 2D fighting games.

X-Men Vs Street Fighter represents another advance in Capcom's fighting range. The marrying of Marvel and Capcom universes allows for fast-paced fighting as the Adamantium claws of Wolverine are put to good use against the sheer pace of Ken and Ryu. Unique to the PlayStation game is the 'Combo System' previously established in Street Fighter EX Alpha Plus, which gives the player freedom to string together punches, kicks and special moves to create devastating combination attacks to see of their opponents.
