Description

Prepared in collaboration with The Willem de Kooning Foundation, this catalogue provides an in-depth look at the pivotal years in which de Kooning's paintings took a radical departure from the work for which he was best known. De Kooning's late works are finally becoming better understood and appreciated by a larger audience, and this publication is a perfect illustration of their beauty, complexity and power, as well as the fascination de Kooning and his work holds for generations of younger artists.
