Wildland
Set in Denmark's underbelly, first time writer/director Jeanette Nordahl's striking Scandi noir follows an impressionable teenage girl who's placed in the care of an estranged relative (a remarkable Sidse Babett Knudsen), the head of a family crime syndicate.
Critic Reviews:
- " An absorbing and often ominous experience… " – Carol Cling (AWFJ Women on Film)
- " Kampp's performance tracks the slow immersion into a life of crime with more patience, even sweetness, than we're used to seeing. " – Max Maller (Chicago Reader)
- " Unflinchingly dark, emotionally devastating and haunting. It's just as powerful as Gomorrah and Animal Kingdom. " – Avi Offer (NYC Movie Guru)
