Artist Profile - Lynda WilsonLynda Wilson, was born and raised in west Texas. She graduatedfrom Texas Tech, receiving a bachelors degree in applied arts. After raising her twin boys, Lynda, pursued her long time interestin the art of Batik. Her work includes her beloved wildflowers as well as a wide variety of other domestic flowers and, more re-cently some animals. After four years of teaching herself the Batikprocess, Lynda, began to show her work in juried art shows inthe southwest and that led to her award winning art being hung in a number of Texas galleries. She has received the "Best of Show"awards in juried shows in Dallas and the Tyler Museum of Art in Tyler, Texas. She was one of 300 artist from around the world tobe invited to participate in the "Bayou City Art Festival" in Houston Lynda, was featured on the television show "Texas Country Repor-ter" on November 13, 2004, and that show is rebroadcast periodi-cally. She has held seminars at a number of school districts in the Dallas area, specifically for art teachers in those districts.Original Batiks by Lynda, hang in many, many homes and corpora-tions across the country. Friends and patrons convinced Lynda, to produce and offer limited editions of signed and numbered Giclee prints of her unique art. Now, in coloring books.
