Channing Tatum what an actor and to do a movie with Jamie Fox they make an awesome pair would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys action movies. It has it all good guys, bad guys and loads of action :)

A good fast pace action movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat, Jamie Foxx gives a great impression of how normal and causal the president of the United States really should be like, good story and great special effects.

The promo hinted to a large portion of funny one liners (which I am not keen) but love action so ended up buying it.

Of course the promo had it out of context and although there were a few cheezy bits I thought it was awesome. Although it is a bit hard to swallow Jamie Fox as President.

A lot of similarities between Olympus has Fallen and this BUT they can both stand on their own and are both great.

White House Down is a 2013 American action film about an paramilitary attack on the White House, and a cop recently rejected to get a job for the Secret Service who tries to stop them…

When Washington DC policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum)'s interview for the Secret Service goes badly, it seems he will be denied the chance to serve President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). However, when a group of paramilitaries under the command of Stenz (Jason Clarke) launch an assault on the White House and take Sawyer hostage, Cale is offered an unexpected opportunity to redeem himself.

Attempting to protect his daughter Emily (Joey King) on one hand and to take down a gang of highly trained mercenaries on the other, Cale will have to prove his mettle in spectacular style if he is to save the nation and its president from the evil designs of Stenz. Will he be up to the task?

White House Down Movie Reviews

“There may be better examples of cinematic art in 2013, but for a good time at the movies, it's hard to imagine anything beating this action extravaganza, from director Roland Emmerich, about a very Obama-like president.” San Francisco Chronicle

“You couldn’t ask for a more fun summer popcorn movie than White House Down.” New York Post

“Itself owing much to such lone-man-of-action hallmarks as “Die Hard” and “Speed,” this welcome throwback to an earlier, more generously entertaining era of summer blockbusters delivers a wide array of close-quarters combat and large-scale destruction, all grounded in an immensely appealing star turn by Channing Tatum and ace support from imperiled POTUS Jamie Foxx.” Variety

“The very definition of big dumb fun, White House Down is a hugely enjoyable thriller” ViewLondon

“While White House Down isn’t going to score points for originality, seriousness, or subtlety (Emmerich likes his political messages blunt and loud), it is a lot of fun; if nothing else, Emmerich is a great widescreen showman who knows how to stage mayhem on a grand scale.” The AV Club

“Of all the dumb megabudget "Die Hard”–like action pictures of the last few year.., this is both the most entertaining and the most inviting of viewers' input." New York Magazine

“Mr Die Hard Goes To Washington … will certainly be on my "guilty pleasures of the year” list." The Standard

“As usual, Emmerich doesn't know when the shameless, popcorn extravaganza should stop…but you don't really want him to.” Sky Movies
