"Intriguing story line"
5 stars"

Yes, there is graphic violence and nudity, etc. If you can get over that, Westworld has a great story line which keeps you hooked to the end. Great CGI. Combines the best of Sci-fi with a western storyline. It questions the morality of individuals and humans as a race. It raises the issues of who we truly are or who we would let ourselves be if there were no judgements. Looking forward to the next season.

Description

Based on the 1973 feature film directorial debut by Michael Crichton, showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have created a sprawling, ambitious science-fiction adventure for television audiences. Set in a futuristic Western theme park populated with android hosts, where guests are free to indulge their every impulse, the series follows a cast of characters comprised of guests, hosts, and the creators of the park, as they seek adventure and explore the mysteries of Westworld. Starring Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins.

Critic Reviews

“The great thing about this HBO series is how the creators (Lisa Joy; Jonathan Nolan) have preserved the bare bones of the original concept while reconceiving the whole thing from scratch and in absorbing detail…A compelling clash of genres.”
 – 3AW

“Westworld achieves consciousness at the opportune epoch, with its parable steeped in synthetic fantasy as reality, revolutionary artificial intelligence, and hyper-paranoia toward the postmodern surveillance state.”
 – PopMatters

“The fact that many of us recognized this and still kept tuning in, tweeting out reactions and tweaking what-if theories after every episode, speaks well to Nolan and his showrunning partner Lisa Joy's ability to make insanely watchable television.”
 – Rolling Stone
