We Offered Them Caviar recounts David Leddick's life in advertising during the fast-paced "Mad Men" era. Working with big-spending, difficult, and demanding clients through the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, Leddick reports on what were often wild-eyed adventures. Creating magazine and television advertising in that booming time required brand-new ideas and lots of dealing with the difficult. As Leddick often told his staff after client meetings, "We offered them caviar but they wanted peanut butter, so we'll give them peanut butter!"

Author Biography

David Leddick is an author and actor who has published 28 books, including many photography nooks as well as eight novels. He has also written a biography on art figures in the 1930s. His latest book is I'm Not For Everyone. Neither Are You. David has written and starred in five musicals internationally. His most recent show is Rent Boy, which just concluded a run in London.
