Author Biography:

Jonathan A. Brant, PhD, PE is an assistant professor in the department of civil and architectural engineering at the University of Wyoming. His research focuses on the development and implementation of advanced technologies and techniques for treating drinking water, wastewater, and water for industrial purposes. Dr. Brant holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, and a master of science and doctorate degrees in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Gerald J. Kauffman, PhD, PE, is an experienced water resources and watershed management engineer. He is the director of the University of Delaware's Water Resources Center and was appointed as Delaware's first water coordinator in 1999. He holds faculty appointments in the University of Delaware's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and School of Public Policy and Administration. Dr. Kauffman holds a bachelor of science degree in civil and environmental engineering from Rutgers University and a master of public administration degree in watershed policy and a doctorate degree in marine policy, both from the University of Delaware.
