Exactly what I expected, still making great music. Long live the Foo Fighters :)

The Foos just keep getting better and better! Could you love this band any more?? AMAZING album. Beautiful tracks from Walk & I Should Have Known to absolutely kick ass make-you-want-to-bust-out tracks like White Limo & Bridge Burning…this album has it all. Can't stop playing it. You won't regret this purchase.
Great music!
Another great album from Grohl and the boys. AAA+++
I love this
Dave Grohl decided on this album to change things up a bit and to record this album in his garage. It was recorded in analogue and the idea was to bring some of the rawness back to the Foo's that sometimes gets lost in overproducing.
Also making a comeback having last produced Dave's Nirvana album Nevermind was producer Butch Vig who is well known by all music experts as the creme de la creme.
What was the outcome- Possibly the Foo's best work yet! Whilst the Foo's previous albums already sit at a lofty height this album brings that rawness and energy that the other albums never quite portrayed.
Rope is an epic that is already being hammered on both radio and sports grounds alike. With Pat Smear entering back in to the fray to add to the guitar department this song totally goes nuts!
White Limo sees the boys team up with Dave's mate Lemmy from Motorhead and provides one of the albums heavier moments. This track also harks back to the work that Dave did with Probot.
I Should Have Known see's the Boys team up with another guest in one of Dave's idols in the form of Bob Mould from Husker Du and what entails is an emotionally rocked pack deity that Mould would be proud of.
Other great moments include Miss The Misery, Walk, Dear Rosemary & Bridge Burning.
A must have for fans of the Foo Fighters!
A perfect album from the Foo Fighters, one to constantly rock out to anywhere!
When Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace first hit my slowly lowering opinion of the Foos had been dealt another serious blow, with the likes of Colour and shape and one by one to keep my Foo Fanship afloat. When Wasting Light came to me it was like a rebirth, Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Still in the car a must have!
Since receving this album its been in my cd player the whole time, i do alot of traveling and it has yet to make me board during my travels. After watching the FOO FIGHTERS doco on tv other week, and learning where they have come from as a band and what the band is all about it makes “I should have known” more understandable. As it's a personal fav of mine off the album i do recommend u crank it loud. “Bridge burning” and “Rope” are great intro track and i would def put money on it to see them as possible opening tracks at there future live gig's. I give it a 4/5 because although i love the album it is just missing something lil bit of toughness that previous albums have had in the past
Definatly some great sounding songs on this album. Typical Dave Grohl lyrics and awesome sounding guitars. Some songs a bit heavier than the usual foo fighters songs. Worth a listen for any foo fighters fans. In my opinion i think the self titled & colour and the shape album are the best foo fighter albums
Don't really need to say much more. The other reviews pretty much cover it :).
Turn up loud, put it on and listen to the good times ahead
Foo Fighters have been my favourite band since their early days so pre-ordering this album was a no brainer. Wasting Light is a rock masterpiece for this generation. This album was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Dave Grohl's home which makes it even more impressive. There isn't one track on this album that I tend to skip over and it seems to get better with each listen. Personal favourites are “Rope”, “Bridge Burning” which could be the next single and “White Limo” which I liken to the Foo's earliest work. This is a must have for Foo Fighters fans and rock fans in general.
Bloody good album – everything you'd expect from Dave and the Foos…
But I'm wondering about why Mighty Ape CD's all seem to come in cardboard CD covers rather than plastic? Could just be the couple I've seen but not sure it's the same in shops?
Just a thought…
Really awesome sounding album, fast and raw foo's justthe way they should be. Highly recommend this for some real kick a@@ punchy music!
This is the Foos at their finest, wall to wall great songs and much better production than some of their earlier albums.
Very pleased to get this new set of great compositions. This group never seem to fail to make an impression with their style.
Great album. They have finally nailed a complete album full of great songs, rather than just a couple of good songs, like previous albums of late. Very impressed
