Great game! 32player online no lag at all, fast pace ground and air combat!

they did a good job on this game, i hope there will be more like it

"Good"

I also bought the downloadedable version of warhawk. The game is very fast . It is very fun, but there are a few problems.

  1. There aren't enough official servers, and the ones that are there have a very HIGH ping about 300. There is only 1 official sever for Australia which has a ping of 39 (I am in New Zealand). Only 32 people can play on that server at a time.
  2. The game is reportedly freezing a lot since the 1.92 firmware update. This bug was SUPPOSED to be fixed with the Beta but it wasn't. I haven't been effected but a lot of people on the official forums both NZ and US are complaining about it.
  3. The stats server has been taken down because it was getting hammered. This means that all your kills and medals wont count, you wont be able to level up and unlock the new customizations. Sony are “working to resolve these issues” but haven't offered a time frame.
  4. Warhawk allows you to host your own game, but with New Zealand's limit on 1mb upload you will only be able to host a game with 4 people. So you have to use the official servers which a ALWAY full or join and American game and deal with winy Americans over Com's.
  5. Some people are having trouble logging in to the game, when the servers go down (which has happened 5 time in the last 2 weeks) you wont be able to play.
  6. Clan support is not very good, your clan size is limited to 32, there is no invite to game function, there is not party system. For an only only game this is not very good compared to Resistance.

Other than those problems which should be fixed (except clan support) this-game-is-addictive.

"Good Blast!"
3 stars"

This game is a good blast, you can just pick it up and jump straight into it. One minute you're in the Lobby, the next you're blowing someone up in the skies. 20 Seconds later you're on the ground shooting a tank with a Rocket Launcher, It's really fast pace game play. It's a very simple game with only a few ground vehicles and weapons, but it has a big emphasis on the air combat.

The multiplayer is great and easy to use, if you're playing online by yourself and a mate/s comes around all you have to do is push start on another controller and the screen splits up to include the new players.

There are some good Australian dedicated servers with lowish pings, and I haven't noticed any lag at all. NZ ones will pop up soon??

It has a bit of a steep learning curve but once you have played it for a couple of hours you'll get the hang of it.

I chose to download this from the Playstation Network but, If you need this on your games shelf and you're after an Arcade style Battlefield 2 with a Crimson Skies feel, then Warhawk should be something on your wish list.
