I'm not sure why they decided to sell this game physically outside of the US/EU regions. This game is all hosted online and MP on servers that are only located in the US/EU. Waste of time buying/trying to play it.

Played this game and its a free client download. Agreed without a local/regional server the lag is too prohibitive to play and a developer candidly said on one of their videos unless you pay-to-play anybody new is just cannon fodder (Knowing chuckle). Also the bias is on assault, jump drop and hack.

Eternal Crusade has had a torturous development journey and there was always going to be anger and frustration when the ambitious original concept failed to materialize. I've been a Warhammer 40k fan for a long time and was somewhat apprehensive about buying this game due to what I'd heard about it. When I saw it for $2 on clearance, I thought I may as well give it a try. The reviews above state that Eternal Crusade is unplayable in New Zealand. If you try to find a game in the evening, you quite simply won't. However, I've been playing at the weekend in the mornings and have played dozens of games without much of a wait time (just a few minutes). Roughly 15 vs. 15 matches are typical and are really fun. The servers I have been playing on have mainly been based in Frankfurt, but with a fibre broadband connection I haven't had any problems. I've been killed a lot more than I have killed, but this is down to my skill level! At this price point I'd definitely recommend it for a good few hours of entertainment.
