Who'd have thought it? The best salt we could find for our classic Ready Salted crisps is over 220 million years old. Walkers found it in Cheshire and, considering its age, it tastes pretty amazing.
In the Triassic period, seawater flooded much of Cheshire, before retreating and leaving the Cheshire Basin with vast supplies of rock salt. History never tasted so good.
Ingredients: Potatoes, sunflower oil (34%), salt.
