Award-winning author Katie Dale loves nothing more than creating characters – both on page and on-stage! After gaining an English Literature degree she followed her dream of going to drama school, (followed by range of acting jobs including playing Juliet in a national Shakespeare tour and a small role in CAPTAIN AMERICA) then when she was back-packing through South-East Asia she was chosen as a winner of the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition which launched her writing career. She loves writing for toddlers up to teens – whilst playing the odd princess/assassin/zombie in-between! She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and has completed many illustration courses for children's books. She began drawing stories for her son and enjoyed it so much that she hasn't stopped since! Giusi has worked internationally, illustrating for education books, handbooks, and magazines. All of her art is digital, but she also uses her graphic design skills to layout books and catalogs. In her spare time, Giusi loves to cook. Sometimes she teaches tourists Sicilian cuisine...
