Jennifer Paterson and Clarissa Dickson Wright tour Britain on their vintage Triumph Thunderbird with Jennifer riding and Clarissa wedged into a Watsonian Jubilee sidecar, in their quest to rediscover the delights of traditional home cooking using the freshest of ingredients. The ladies are cooks not chefs - they reject the pretensions and elaborations of haute cuisine and are aggressively unfashionable delighting in such ingredients as clotted cream, lard, garlic and fatty meats.
The flamboyant ladies are world-wide cult stars, united in their enthusiasms, prejudices and unshakeable belief in their own culinary experience. These two eccentric women present enjoyable meals full of strong flavours and free of restraint.
