Very light and comfortable headset. Doesnt feel like its clamping on your
head tightly (and I have a big head, lol) so I can wear them for a long period
of time and no headaches or discomfort.
Sound quality is pretty good. Lacking in nice low bass notes as compared to
the Soundblaster WoW headset I had, and returned due to mic problems, but
overall pretty good sound quality.
Mic is very clear and and stays right where you put it. The various sound
fields are quite a nice feature for FPS games. I use this headset on both my PC
and PS3 and it has improved my game on Modern Warefare 3 for sure! You know
when someone is close to you or trying to chase you down.
The ability to adjust game and voice chat volume independantly on the headset
itself is priceless. I use this feature on PC (with teamspeak and vent) and on
PS3 and I wouldnt be without it now!
I can come home from work and game until the early hours without needing to
put it on charge, battery life seems great!
My only real gripe is that in less than a week it broke. The small bits of
plastic that are screwed together around the ends of the leather padding, around
the top of the headband, well one of those halves broke off bit where the screws
go into it. Its only a cosmetic thing so I didnt bother to send it back (might
have to glue it back on one day). But this still shows its a bit light build
quality. I can honestly say I have never dropped or been rough with the
headset so as far as I can tell its a design flaw for big heads that open the
headband out quite wide.
Overall I can recommend this headset to everyone if you can get it on
special like I did ($159). But I wouldnt pay the RRP thats for sure.
