Description

Tim is easy-going and contented but Katie refuses to be thwarted in her desire to move up in the world. Her drastic solution to finding money to fund the first steps on the property ladder though rebounds on her with devastating effects. Meanwhile Gordon and Maureen move to the affluent area of the South Coast town with their small baby when Gordon's firm relocates from London. Four people, tossed together by the hand of fate, whose loves and lives are turned upside down in this exciting and tense story. 'Joan Moules, with her emotive and descriptive writing style, is adept at taking a classic plot line and adding a fresh twist... a real page turner.' The Woman Writer 'A moving story... recommended' The Historical Novels Review 'Written from the heart' Best of British Magazine

Author Biography:

Joan M Moules is the author of over thirty books both fiction and non-fiction. She also writes short stories and articles, runs occasional day workshops and is passionate about her writing. In junior school her desk was next to a window which looked across to a railway line and she was always in trouble for gazing across to the trains and making up stories about where the people on them were going instead of concentrating on what the teacher was saying. Eventually she was moved to the other side of the room where she couldn't see them... Some of her other interests, not in any special order, include reading, walking by the seashore, theatre, music hall, Victorian and Edwardian jewellery, cats and being with her family and friends. She is a member of The Society of Women Writers' and Journalists, Society of Authors, The Crime Writers Association and The Deadly Dames.
