This is a simple photographic review by decade of this wonderful event, with photos covering most of the worlds best riders. The book contains mostly images. but contains sufficient written detail to enable the reader to tune into the image(s) and appreciate why it made it into this book

Description

This book features foreword by Geoff Duke. Published to coincide with the centenary of the Isle of Man TT, this glorious photographic book presents a portfolio of work from Don Morley, the hugely respected motorcycle racing photographer who fell in love with the TT on his first visit in 1953 and returned every year until 2004. Packed with evocative images, most of them in colour, this book features all the post-war greats - legends such as Mike Hailwood and Joey Dunlop - as well as lesser names that have played their part in the world's most spectacular motorcycle races. This will be a book to treasure for all TT fans.

Table of Contents

Wonderfully evocative photographs, from scenic landscapes to motorcycle close-ups. All the danger and drama of the TT captured, predominantly in colour. Legendary riders prominently illustrated include Giacomo Agostini, Geoff Duke, Joey Dunlop, Mick Grant, Mike Hailwood, Steve Hislop, David Jefferies, Phil McCallen, John McGuinness and John Surtees. Narrative to support the pictures comprises decade summaries and detailed captions. An extended introduction by Don Morley explains how the TT has inspired intense personal passion for him - as it does for the thousands of enthusiasts who will flock to the Isle of Man for the centenary races in 2007.
