Author Biography

Born in Scotland in 1850, Robert Louis Stevenson studied both engineering and law before embarking on a career as a writer. His most popular works include Treasure Island, Kidnapped, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and A Child's Garden of Verses, and he also wrote numerous travel essays from his voyages around the world, particularly the South Pacific.
