the most unexpected suprise of 2007 much like tom cruises cameo appearance in “tropic thunder”

who would have thought that director/producer michael bay could have made something this good?

his best movies “bad boys” and “the rock” are nothing compared to this

the story revolves around a war between 2 factions of alien, the autobots (good guys), and the decepticons (bad guys)

these aliens are fighting for a square thign which is said to create life and whatnot so you could imagine what would happen if it fell in the wrong hands

they bring there war to earth and an average teenager sam witwicky and his “friend” Michaela (played by shia lebouf and megan fox) get caught in the middle of this war but at the end of the day we just want to see the transformers bashing each other (actually the real reason to see this movie is Megan Fox…kidding)

acting overall is actually quite good, a bit of it overdone but most done quite good.

direction is…well its michael bay so you can expect alot of car chase scenes and shaky cameras…and you do but it all works well

teh animation is simply amazing, its more of a revolution thatn anythign else, i mean how is it possible to transform a truck into 10,000 tiny pieces? kudos to the animators

the music is fantastic, it reminds me of the lord of the rings score no really its so good that i bought the album (not the one with linkin park, i meant the instrumental movie version)

but the real star of course is Megan Fox…woops i mean the transformers. these transformers live and breathe like humans and once the action starts its amazing

the 2 dvd edition is packed with over 2 hours of great special features and is totally worth it

so if you are looking for a movie with oscar worthy acting/stories…dont watch this

BUT if you want a good action/popcorn flick then watch this

i strongly reccomend it…cmon, even my Dad likes this and thats saying something

Fantastic movie! It is my favourite movie of all time! Watched it 6 times at the movies and easily 4–6 times on DVD. Everyone should buy a copy of the DVD. Although, my only complaint is the quality of this DVD box. The transformation is cool and all, but the paint job is terrible… I hate to say it, but it makes the whole thing look a little cheap and tacky.

They should have made it out of metal instead of plastic and they should have made it shiny like Optimus in the movie instead of this funny matt paint with little bits of sparkle. But then again I suppose it is the toss up between cost and quality. However if they had made a good case I would have been happy to part with up to $100 for this DVD (don't know how many people out there share this opinion). It's worth the extra $10 over the steel case just because it can transform though.

Love this movie..Saw it in Chicago Illinois and it blew my socks off. couldnt wait to get in on dvd.. the only thing is that the packaging is a bit so so.just cheap plastic really. i prefer to have a solid case for my dvds.. but otherwise amazing movie and special featutres to boot.
but yea. the optimus prime robot doesnt justify the price.. But its the best movie of 2007 in my books.
