Description

A fantastically funny collection of motoring trivia, tales and quizzes, from the bestselling author of Total Lemons and Total Wheelspin. total Leadfoot is the book version of hanging out with your mates - having a laugh, shooting the breeze, and pondering life's big questions. Dyou know your Lada from your Frisky? Are cup holders the most moronic things or an essential part of the driving experience? What are the real causes of road rage (bad coffee anyone?). Why isn't there a car called Pronghorn? Amaze your friends (or indeed random strangers, if your friends won't listen) with your knowledge of rattletraps and rakish beauties, bizarre car facts, strange stories behind even stranger films, and the scientific study of exhaust noise arousal. total Leadfoot completes the 'total' trilogy in exactly the right way: by adding a third book. So belt up, adjust your mirrors, your ride starts now! PRAISE FOR tONY DAVIS: 'Lemon! will cause arguments, much laughter and intense nostalgic nodding...a perfect stocking filler for petrol heads' - Sydney Morning Herald 'Davis's disbelief-tinged prose...offers much amusement...great for any motoring enthusiast' - West Australian 'Davis writes with a dry, deadpan cynicism that's wonderfully enjoyable' - Melbourne Weekly 'terrific stuff' - Sunday tasmanian

Author Biography:

Tony Davis has worked as a book author, publisher, magazine editor and newspaper writer. He has written about cars, on and off, for nearly thirty years. He has driven some of the fastest, most expensive and most impressive vehicles ever built, yet retains a bizarre fascination with those at the other end of the spectrum, those created by designers and engineers who, as he puts it, 'think a tour de force is a bicycle race'.
