Possibly one of Tom Cruise's worst movies, Tom plays a Navy Lieutenant shipped off to the United States' “Top Gun” fighter school to compete with the best of the best, this movies is all hat! with a bland story that is supposed to lift you up. It is little more than a cast of look good young guys fighting to be macho king of the hill.
The only redeeming part of this movie is the impressive flying scenes and little else, if you're looking for a good earlier Tom Cruise feature try “Born on the Forth of July” a far more redeeming feature for Tom.
