What kid doesn't entertain visions of growing up to become something or somebody else? Careful consideration convinces Tommy that maybe it's OK to be himself...but not before he cons his audience into believing that to be a tomato might be the way to grow up. Or possibly a potato?

Author Biography

Author After serving a hitch in the army, years in industrial sales, then stocks and bonds, I found my career niche in public education, Medina City Schools, OH. After the loss of my dear partner in life, Joan, I spent the next decade exploring the West, sharing time with family, and a friend. But Rhode Island called, clearly, so here I am continuing to take my nature photos, hiking, writing children's stories, and traveling coast to coast visiting "my five," thirteen grandchildren, three greats. Life is smiles... few days without. Since I was a child, drawing was my passion. Storybooks, comic books, and watching cartoons always inspired me to draw. I would read whatever comic books I could get my hands on, and be fascinated by the colorful illustrations. I used to get so involved in those stories that I wanted to live in that (imaginary) world but never dreamed about choosing art as my profession. And then, I spontaneously made the decision to join an art school and got admitted for commercial art. I want to continue working in this field and do what I love to do.
