Titanfall reviews

I was really excited about this game. Got it on release day played the tutorial and got into the action. I don't know what it is about the game but just not enjoying it at the moment.

Negatives so far. Graphics are average. For next gen I expect to be blown away by the graphics like I was with forza 5. These are average last gen graphics. Gameplay while good for some reason just does not compel me to want to play this over other games I have. I thought the lack of modes would be a plus as I generally would only do team death match anyway but it does feel like there's not a lot of game for your money with this one. Also having the computer controlled enemy bots in it is more distracting and annoying than adding to the gameplay as you will often get killed by a pilot while shooting one. With a bit of time you probably get used to picking out pilots over bots but initially its hard to until you get used to the minimap and visual cues.

I'm hoping with a bit more play it will get better but so far, just not enjoying it. Maybe I'm just over first person shooters. It might be an early sell for me. I guess the hype surrounding it has been overstated as I don't think it is the great COD killing must have first person shooter revolution it was touted as. In my mind its another first person shooter which does what its supposed to do, plays well but for me just does not excite me enough to be like “I can't wait to play it again”. Will update this in a couple of weeks if my opinion changes.

Great game lots of fun must buy.

Hard to put into words the fun this game is.. Get it now!

The idea behind Titanfall is a great one…rather than playing against hoards of bots, you play against real people. Being an online only game does limit it however and the absence of a 2 player element means that your “significant other” will have to buy their own Xbox and copy of the game if they want to kick your butt.

So turn your brain off and sit back to enjoy the game, because at its core it is a good game that involved giant robots and big guns.

After years of playing games like this which come with campaigns it was strange… Titanfall offers no real solo campaign or anything really besides multiplayer.

I wish the story was offline

So fast paced I love it

This is a great, online-only, multiplayer-focused game by Respawn Entertainment, the crew originally from Infinity Ward who made such great FPS classics COD: Modern Warfare 2 and essentially created the Call of Duty the phenomenon that it has basically become today. Definitely worth the purchase. The downside at the moment, is currently Titanfall usually has around circa 2000ish players online at any peak given times around the world which is a terribly low number for a FPS online shooter. The competition (COD: Advanced Warfare, Destiny, BF4, Halo: MCC, etc) has no doubt drained the gamer community who have not stuck around to play Titanfall in the long run. Hopefully Titanfall will experience what Modern Warfare 2 has, as the “pro's” kept getting sucked into the new and newer Cod releases, MW2 got filled up with day 1 noobs, easy pickings for 10th prestige players such as myself but then again I don't play MW2 much now seeing as I and my mate Hare platinumed that game 1000 achievement points.

That is another thing worth noting: in games like this and Destiny, you get achievements for your usual multiplayer activities. Any newcomers to Titanfall should definitely check it out, don't get intimidated by the limited numbers or the noobs.

Better than COD: Ghosts by far. Its probably was though that it just got too easy and too boring… so as much as I loved this game, I went back to BF4.

Just 3 words hours of fun

in my eye's worst console game ever, if i wanted online multi-player only, i'd have a pc that kicked the xboxs bum, but i want single player campaign, heaps better shooters out there, if this is the way consoles are going, my next purchase will be a high end gaming pc

really refreshing to play and super fun !! i play alot of call of duty so its nice to play a game that is less competitive and has different qaulities, eg double jumping, free running and riding around in a titan blowing stuff up !:)

Not a bad game, I enjoyed playing it… I think it's more the sort of game I'd play when I don't have to much time to game, jump on for a match or 2. It gets boring playing for long periods of time, and I don't think I'll be playing this in a years time like I do with the Battlefield games. Not enough variety for my liking. Graphics are reasonable, not amazing. Sound is good…

Good game play but levels very short only 9 of them and they all the same sort of thing also have to be online :( you don't really need to play and you can still pass or faile the level

WOW, after the initial disappointment of the Xbox One console I reminded myself that the game of the year is going to release soon (Titanfall), I should have put the Xbox One in storage there and then but nooo I waited and spent $89 on the most disappointing game in history. After 10 mins playing the “Campaign” which is just a series of multiplayer maps with a token storyline I realized I had made a mistake. Microsoft basically said it was going to be the Halo of Xbox One, honestly the lego games were more entertaining. If I could recommend this game to people, it would be to gamers that are simple and easily pleased, if you like repetitiveness and low levels of strategy this is the game for you!!!

It takes a bit of playtime to ‘get’ Titanfall, but once it clicks you'll find an online shooter that is like no other. With jump-packs, parkor, giant robots, special abilities, cloaking devices and a horde of other gadgets, Titanfall is fast, furious and fun. Titanfall as does a great job at rewarding high-level players while give new players a chance to contribute – with a horde of AI bots in each match, new players can weed-out the AI (avoiding tackling high-level players directly) or even hack the AI and lead their own robot army into battle.

A game not to be missed.

Small maps with minimal movement, no team work, alot to be desired. More of a COD game then any. Still prefer halo reach

Loved playing this game on different platforms and still not sick of it.

I was given this game as a gift and while the graphics are somewhat dated already. It plays well. Has bots to play against which is missing from some games and wall running years before other games. Just plain fun to play.

It's one of the best games on Xbox one and it also gets frequent updates. Can't recommend this more to anyway who likes this type of gaming.

Great game love it so much, but it did come damaged but mightyape got me to send it back and said they would send a new copy at no charge !

Titanfall is a really fun game but can get a bit boring at times plus some of the maps are just really stupid plus there is no pilot or titan customization but they but bring that in an update in the future parkour is fun and destroying titans makes you feel like a badass overall a good

Not as good as you would see it in the youtube videos. The graphics are ok. The multiplayer is action packed. Though I can't see myself playing for much longer.
