Description

Johnny Bookman had not wanted to leave the familiarity of his London home when he was evacuated to the country in 1939. Anita Evesham, used to living away from her parents treated the move as a bit of an adventure. Coming from totally different backgrounds, evacuees Anita and Johnny, an unlikely match, are thrown together. Their experiences are destined to change both of their lives and the lives of their families.

Author Biography:

Joan M Moules is the author of over twnety-five fiction and non-fiction books in a variety of genres. Joan also writes short stories and articles, runs occasional day workshops and is passionate about her writing. In junior school her desk was next to a window which looked across to a railway line and she was always in trouble for gazing across to the trains and making up stories about where the people on them were going instead of concentrating on what the teacher was saying. Eventually she was moved to the other side of the room where she couldn't see them... Some of her other interests, not in any special order, include reading, walking by the seashore, theatre, music hall, Victorian and Edwardian jewellery, cats and being with her family and friends. She is a member of The Society of Women Writers' and Journalists, The Society of Authors, The Crime Writers Association and The Deadly Dames.
