Description

The book is divided into four sections - Part 1, EARTH, describes tiles made of natural materials and their uses - ceramic and porcelain; stone, terracotta, and brick; and cork, wood, and leather. Part 2, MAN, describes tiles of man-made materials and their uses - glass, metal, and concrete; and rubber, laminate, and vinyl. Part 3, ART, offers a selection of unique uses of decorative tiles and mosaics, and offers step-by-step instruction on creating special artisitic projects with tile, such as creating a patterned "rug" of tile. Part 4, INSTALLATION, is a complete guide to installing tile, whether you are hiring someone to do the job or doing it yourself.
