Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS 4 (PC & PS4) reviews

This is an amazing piece of kit for the money & gives ultimate control for the PS4 version of Elite Dangerous. As always, Mightyape's service and delivery was faultless. These guys are amazing!

You'll need to download an update from a website in order for the controller to even work on the computer. Some bottons are placed in inconvenient locations and it is made of plastic so it feels cheap but for price and doing the job you can't go wrong. The cord connecting the two controls is too short and doesn't wind up perfectly when you join the controls together. I don't regret this purchase as perfection comes with a price tag.

Recently bought this for Elite: Dangerous. I love the use of a HOTAS for flight situation games and the Thrustmaster delivers all the basics you need to play the game. It's unfortunate that the PS4 HOTAS don't allow for extended bindings in the same way as PC driven HOTAS do, and this limits the use of the HOTAS and enjoyment of the game, but not earth shatteringly so. My only gripe is the general build quality is low: ‘a bit cheap and tacky’ is how it would best be described. Sony and thrustmaster need to deliver a better quality product, and it would be nice if they could get rid of the squeaking.

Great joystick for the price. I only wish it was compatible with more games.

To be clear, I am a beginner when it comes to using joysticks. Much like the other reviewers I use this for elite dangerous and after a few hundred hours playing and then getting this HOTAS it feels like a whole new game and I actually enjoy combat now.

I don't really mind the inconvenient way to swap weapon loadouts mid combat but that's my only gripe for the money paid.

As always I seem to always buy mightyape and never regret a purchase.

Works just as it should. It can be a little wobbly though if you push too forward/backwards. Comes a bonus War Thunder code.
