"A good book for pre-schoolers" Purchased on Mighty Ape

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter. I found the way the book deals with questions about the baby to be a little babyish. She enjoyed the story very much, but already knows a lot about anatomy which was skimmed over in this book. That said, it has good flowing, rhyming language. Excellent bright pictures. And filled the gap allowing her to ask questions about different things as we read together. My only other gripe was that after the baby arrives, it suggests mum might have another baby. That's not the plan for our family, so this feels strange to read aloud and I did feel like I had to add a disclaimer for my daughter.

"Fabulous way of explaining pregnancy to an older sibling"

The rhymes in this book are lovely, as are the illustrations. My two-year-old enjoys pointing out the different toys and features on each page, and a slightly older child would love the idea of the “tummy telephone” to talk to the baby in mummy's tummy.
